Meet Stewart

Stewart Peay is a 6th generation Utahn born in Mapleton and raised in a military family. Following an LDS mission in Russia, he attended BYU, graduating with a degree in economics. He then attended BYU Law school where he served as President of the Federalist Society. He enlisted in the Utah Army National Guard, was commissioned as a military intelligence officer, and reached the rank of Captain during his 12 years of service. His time in the Army included a 2003 deployment to Iraq during Operation Iraqi Freedom.

Stewart has worked at the respected law firm of Snell & Wilmer, LLP in Salt Lake City since graduating in 2002. In 2012 he was selected for partner and currently leads the office's commercial litigation practice. In 2019, Utah County delegates elected him Chairman of the Utah County Republican Party.

Stewart met his wife, Misha, at BYU. Misha is an educator in Alpine School District. She and Stewart are the proud parents of 4 children in Utah schools.

Stewart is a skilled listener, relationship builder, and resolver of conflicts, and would bring these abilities with him to our nation’s capital where they are desperately needed.
